edX-PLATFORM

Founded in 2012 by Harvard University and MIT, edX is an online learning destination and MOOC provider that offers learners worldwide with high-quality courses from the world’s leading colleges and institutions. The QS World University Rankings place edX university members first, with over 130 global partners.

The IIMB opened its doors to the world in 2014. Offering MOOCs in all management-related disciplines – Information Technology, Marketing, Operations, Innovation, Strategic Management, Finance, Statistics, International Business, Entrepreneurship, and People Management – IIMBx offers individual courses and online MicroMasters programs designed and delivered by some of India’s best minds.

SWAYAM PLATFORM 

The SWAYAM Programme was formed under the Ministry of Human Resources Development of the Government of India to increase educational access and possibilities through courses and pedagogies. Swayam classes include all disciplines and skill levels from high school to university. SWAYAM aims to bridge the digital divide for students who have been left behind by the digital revolution and are unable to participate in the knowledge economy. SWAYAM was created in order to achieve the three cardinal objectives of education policy: access, equity, and quality.

Since 2017, IIMB has been one of nine national coordinators, offering over 20 courses on SWAYAM. As a National Coordinator, IIMB receives and assesses MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) submissions from universities and institutions interested in offering their course on SWAYAM. Universities and institutions can submit proposals to IIMBx, IIM Bangalore’s digital learning division.
