Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
• Impact Measurement: Analyze learner feedback, engagement metrics, and outcomes to refine designs and contribute to IIMBx’s mission of transformative education.
Qualifications and Skills:

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Instructional Design, EducationTechnology, Educational Psychology, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g.,in eLearning design or ADDIE model) are a plus.

Experience: 8+ years in instructional design, preferably in higher education or online learning environments. Experience working with academic faculty or in MOOC development is highly desirable.

Strong application of ADDIE, Backward Design, and Bloom’s Taxonomy

Sound understanding of online pedagogy, adult learning principles, and experiential
learning -
Expertise in assessment design: including:
• Objective assessments (MCQs) o Case-based and scenario-based assessments o Peer learning and peer assessment -
Slide & Visual Authoring
• Microsoft PowerPoint (Advanced – Slide Master, layouts, instructional
animations)
• Google Slides (collaborative content development)
• Canva (Education/Pro – infographics, course visuals, thumbnails)
• Interactive Content Authoring
• H5P (interactive videos, presentations, quizzes)
• Articulate Rise (mobile-first, microlearning content)
• Articulate Storyline (branched scenarios, simulations) -
Video Creation & Editing (good to have)
• Camtasia (screen recording, lecture editing)
• OBS Studio (lecture capture, multi-source recording)
• Adobe Premiere Pro (working knowledge)
• Adobe After Effects (awareness)

Assessment & Practice Authoring
• Moodle Quiz Engine (advanced use of question banks, randomization, timed assessments)
• H5P Question Sets
• Google Forms (formative assessments)

Content Structuring & Documentation

• Notion (course design documentation, learning pathways) -
Designing & Running Engaging Online Sessions
• Ability to design interactive live online sessions, via zoom/teams including:
• Polls, quizzes, and live Q&A
• Breakout room–based discussions and activities o Case discussions, peer learning, and reflective activities
• Knowledge of online facilitation techniques to:
• Increase learner engagement and participation o Manage attention spans in virtual environments o Support diverse learner
groups at scale -
Experience supporting faculty in
• Converting classroom pedagogy to effective online delivery o Structuring live sessions for MOOCs, blended programs, and faculty development initiatives
• AI-Enabled Authoring Tools
• ChatGPT (learning objectives, assessment drafting, script refinement)
• Grammarly (academic tone and clarity)
• Ethical and responsible use of AI in learning design -
Behavioural skills
• Strong empathy and communication abilities to interpret “said and unsaid” sentiments from professors and stakeholders.
