Excellence in Learner-centric Pedagogy

The Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on Creating Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs), organized by the IIMB Digital Learning Team, is designed to equip faculty members with the skills and knowledge required to design, develop, and deliver high-quality MOOCs. The FDP is structured into two parts: a one-day on-campus workshop on 26th April 2025 at IIM Bangalore, followed by a 45-day online training programme starting from 28th April 2025. The programme covers the entire lifecycle of a MOOC — from planning and designing to production, delivery, and post-course activities. Through engaging content that includes short videos, text modules, and interviews with IIM Bangalore faculty members, participants will gain practical insights into MOOC development. By the end of the FDP, participants will be able to apply effective blended learning methodologies, design and produce engaging course content, and successfully manage the delivery of MOOCs. The on-campus workshop will introduce participants to MOOC development and blended learning methodologies, followed by hands-on practice in planning and storyboarding. The online component will provide in-depth knowledge on online pedagogy, content creation, learner engagement, and post-course evaluation, culminating in a capstone project where participants will create a mini MOOC..
