Job Title: AWS Optimisation Intern

Job Type: Internship (Full time)

Role: Join the IIMBx Digital Learning Foundation as an AWS Optimisation Intern, where your analytical skills will directly impact the efficiency and scalability of our cloud infrastructure. You will audit storage and workflows, uncover cost-saving opportunities, and ensure that our learning platforms remain performant and secure. This internship is perfect for candidates eager to deepen their cloud expertise in a tech-forward educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Audit AWS usage: Examine services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, CloudFront) to pinpoint idle, under-utilized, or misconfigured resources.
    • Analyze and forecast costs: Leverage AWS Cost Explorer, Budgets, and Trusted Advisor to track spending patterns and recommend optimisations.
    • Implement optimisation strategies: Test and document rightsizing and scaling policies to reduce waste.
    • Document SOPs: Create clear guidelines and checklists for ongoing cloud governance and cost-management workflows.

Qualifications:

    • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
    • Coursework or hands-on experience with AWS services concepts.
    • Familiarity with AWS Cost Explorer, Trusted Advisor, CloudWatch is advantageous.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication skills and ability to translate technical findings into insights.
    • Bonus: AWS Academy completion or certification (e.g., AWS Cloud Practitioner).
