IIMBx offers courses on 3 different platforms IIMBx, edX and SWAYAM.Â
edX – edX is an American massive open online course provider created by Harvard and MIT. It hosts online university-level courses in a wide range of disciplines to a worldwide student body, including some courses at no charge.Â
IIMBx – IIMBx provides courses to different Corporate partners.
SWAYAM – IIMB is the coordinating institute for management education for SWAYAM, Government of India’s online education platform.

IIMBx PlatformÂ
Courses on IIMBx are delivered by IIM Bangalore faculty. Learners also have access to a variety of online courses and programmes which address both core and advanced business and management subjects. With completion rates twice as high as those on few other MOOC platforms, IIMBx built on open edX, is one of the fastest-growing eLearning platforms in India today.

Workshops
Masterclass & Workshop
Parallel classroom sessions on selected topics to gain high-level insights and best practices, delivered through videos, hands-on exercises and group discussions, in addition to the conventional chalk-and-board method.
Features application of blended methodology in teaching including regular classroom and digital learning. Participants present their blended-learning module designed during the workshop with the IIMBx team and Professors.
To popularise the digital learning pedagogy, IIMBx organises one-day Faculty Development Programmes at regular intervals.Till date, over 1400 faculty members from business schools and universities have participated in this programme.
Key highlights of the FDPs at IIMBx:
- The FDP provides a brief introduction to digital education and MOOCs.
- Participants should be nominated by their parent institution.
- Participants are issued certificates at the end of the programme
Strategy And The Sustainable Enterprise For Teachers
First batch: July – September Next batch: Dates to be announced. This Faculty-only course is for those interested in introducing sustainability – related courses to their students. Spread over 14 weeks, this course examines how sustainability issues influence corporate strategy and how these challenges can be transformed into sources of competitive advantage. Faculty selected for the IIMBx-Wipro Faculty Development fellowship programme will be invited to a one-day FDP at IIM Bangalore. This FDP is was made possible with the generous support from Wipro Limited and Harvard Business School Publishing.
The MOOC Development Workshop is offered to faculty interested in understanding and adopting MOOCs into their classroom pedagogy. The workshop explores different aspects of creating a MOOC: Planning, Designing, Production, and Delivery. Through live sessions, team activities, hands-on project, short videos and reading material, the participants get to explore the life cycle of a MOOC

CTM
A blended Certificate Programme in Technology and Management jointly offered by IIM Bangalore and IIT Madras
Programme Structure
CTM is a 11-month long programme, offered in four modules. Each module spans for about three months, comprising technical and management courses. At the end of each module, proctored exams will be conducted. On successful completion of the programme, the candidate receives a ‘Certificate in Technology and Management.

Swayam Platform – Swayam Program &Â IIMBx on Swayam
Swayam on IIMBx
SWAYAM Programme was established under the aegis of the Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India, for expanding educational access and opportunities courses and pedagogies. Swayam courses cover all subjects and skill sectors from high school to higher education. SWAYAM seeks to bridge the digital divide for students who have hitherto remained untouched by the digital revolution and have not been able to join the mainstream of the knowledge economy. SWAYAM designed to achieve the three cardinal principles of Education Policy viz., access, equity and quality.
IIMB is one of the nine national coordinators and has offered more than 20 courses on SWAYAM since 2017. As a National Coordinator, IIMB receives and evaluates MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) proposals in the area of management studies from Universities and Institutions willing to offer their course on SWAYAM. Universities and Institutions can send the proposals to IIMBx, the digital learning division of IIM Bangalore.

Founded by Harvard University and MIT in 2012, edX is an online learning destination and MOOC provider, offering high-quality courses from the world’s best universities and institutions to learners everywhere. With more than 130 global partners, edX university members top the QS World University Rankings.
In 2014, IIMB opened its classrooms to the world. Offering MOOCs in all management-related disciplines – Information Technology, Marketing, Operations, Innovation, Strategic Management, Finance, Statistics, International Business, Entrepreneurship, and People Management – IIMBx offers individual courses and online MicroMasters programs designed and delivered by some of the best minds in India.
