Job Title: Subject Matter Expert

Job type: Contractual – Non-Teaching

Job Purpose:

As an SME, you’ll bring your wealth of experience and knowledge to ensure the quality and relevance of our course content. This role presents an exciting opportunity to collaborate with faculty members and content production teams, crafting engaging learning experiences for students.

Educational qualification and Experience: 

  • PhD in the relevant field (Final-year doctoral candidates will also be considered).
  • Expertise in relevant subject areas (e.g., Finance, Operations, Marketing, HR, Statistics, etc.).
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work seamlessly in interdisciplinary teams.
  • Passion for education and a commitment to enhancing online learning and student success.
  • Demonstrated professional experience and achievements in the field, including research, publications, industry expertise, or teaching.
  • Experience with online teaching is advantageous. 

Job Roles:

  • Provide guidance to faculty members and content teams throughout the course for development process.
  • Collaborate closely with course developers to ensure alignment with academic standards and industry best practices.
  • Stay informed about the latest developments, research, and trends in online learning to inform content updates.
  • Foster student engagement by moderating discussion forums and promptly addressing queries within 48 hours.
  • Conduct live tutorial sessions to enhance course material and facilitate interactive discussions with students.
  • Conduct supplementary sessions for learners (if required).
  • Customize communication and teaching methods to effectively engage students, considering their diverse backgrounds and comprehension levels.
  • Develop assessment questions pertinent to the domain.
  • Develop caselets and subjective assessments along with rubrics.
  • Assess and evaluate learners’ subjective assignments and projects.

Duration: Part-time contractual role, requiring a commitment of 10-12 hours per week, with a tenure of six months from the contract signing date.
