The best minds from India’s top institutions, IIM Bangalore and IIT Madras, are collaborating to offer the Certificate in Technology and Management (CTM) programme. Today, we had a brief chat with the CTM team (Girish and Pooja), who will tell you everything you need to know about the programme.

What led to the inception of this programme?

Girish: We have been hearing many conversations where it’s commonly agreed that one specialised skill is no longer enough to excel in the workplace. That was when we realised this programme is the need of the hour. When students have a strong foundation in both technical and management concepts, they will be able to rise to meet the ever-changing demands of the industry.

Pooja: To add to that, the CTM will give students an edge because we have professors from India’s best management and technology institutes.

What can students expect from this 10-month programme?

Girish: This programme has Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) delivered by professors from IIM Bangalore and IIT Madras.

Pooja: Apart from MOOCs, we also have webinars, case studies, online discussion forums, interviews with industry experts, and any additional course support you may need. We are constantly thinking of new ways to help students make the most of the programme.

If this programme has only MOOCs, how is it any different from a regular course?

Girish: The CTM programme isn’t just about hand-picking MOOCs from each of the institutes. Each course has been carefully selected to give students an exposure to the best of both worlds. Apart from that, we also have a campus connect component, where students get an opportunity to attend day-long classes both in IIT Madras and IIM Bangalore.

Pooja: Those who successfully complete all courses will earn the Certificate in Technology and Management, jointly awarded by IIT Madras and IIM Bangalore.

If you are ready to take the next step in your career, this programme is for you! Use this link to apply before 30th April 2018: http://ctm-iitm.iimbx.edu.in/
